Why Living On Grace doesn’t count your streak
Streaks feel like motivation. Over time, they become a source of guilt that works against the very habit you were trying to build. Here is why we designed them out.

Living On Grace is in early access. The web app is live. Mobile and desktop are on the way.
As of this week, Living On Grace is live at app.livingongrace.app.
That sentence is small. What it took to get here was not.
The web app is a Progressive Web App. It runs in any modern browser. You can add it to your home screen on any phone or desktop and use it offline after the first load. No install required. No account required to start.
The core loop works: check in with how you feel, receive scripture written for that moment, reflect if you want to. That is the product. It does what it promises.
Cloud sync is built but limited to early testing. If you want to try it, the option is in Settings. Mobile and desktop native builds are in progress. We are not rushing them. A slow, careful iOS build beats a fast one that compromises the privacy model.
The verse library is live but not complete. We have mapped roughly 120 emotional states to scripture. That number will grow. The curation work is ongoing and happens one verse at a time.
Early access means the product is real and usable, but it is not finished. You may find rough edges. The design will continue to evolve. Some planned features are not built yet.
What will not change: the core loop, the privacy model, the anti-streak stance, the free-forever commitment. Those are settled. The surface around them will improve.
Release notes track every version at livingongrace.app/release-notes. The build log here tracks the product thinking. The code is public on GitHub.
If something does not work, email support@livingongrace.app. We read every message.

The hardest part of building Living On Grace was not writing the code. It was deciding which verse speaks to grief and which speaks to gratitude.

Most apps store your information in the cloud by default. We built Living On Grace the other way: your reflections stay on your device unless you choose otherwise.
